Compton Unified School District celebrated the historic groundbreaking of the new $270-million Centennial High School with a powerful ceremony attended by notable celebrities and Andre “Dr. Dre” Young, Kendrick Lamar, and will.i.am, marking a powerful step forward in the district’s unwavering commitment to reimagining education and expanding opportunity for every scholar.

Compton Unified School District proudly held commencement ceremonies for all four of its high schools — Compton High School, Dominguez High School, Compton Early College High School, and Centennial High School. Each event honored the achievements, growth, and perseverance of the Class of 2025.

Meet Anthony Gonzalez Gomez, a proud member of the Compton Early College High School Class of 2026. This fall, he will attend the University of California, Riverside, where he plans to major in Computer Science.

Hard work, perseverance, and a passion for learning have paved the way for Krystie Ramirez as she begins an exciting new chapter. The Centennial High School Class of 2026 graduate will attend the University of California, Merced this fall, where she plans to major in Biochemistry.

Tasia Coleman, a proud member of Compton High School’s Class of 2025, is preparing to take her next big step: attending Southern University A&M this fall, where she will major in Pre-Med. Her goal is to become a pediatric surgeon.

Meet Hailey Parra, Class of 2025 graduate from Compton Early College High School! Not only did she earn her high school diploma—she also graduated with two associate degrees. This fall, she’s headed to UC Riverside to major in Electrical Engineering.
