Principal's Message

I’d like to officially welcome you for the 2025-2026 school year. For those who are new to Chavez-Dominguez Satellite and Marshall-Dominguez Satellite, I want to tell you a little about myself. This will be my 18th year in the Compton Unified School District and 12th year as an administrator. As a citizen of Compton all my life, what drives me to continue in this work is my love for the people of Compton and the potential of our youth. My goal as principal has always been and will always be to bring all stakeholders together, students, parents, and staff, as collaborators who share in the work of educating our children so that they will be change agents in our community and in our world.

Our values at Dominguez High School extend to our entire satellite family. We expect our students’ character to reflect The Don Way, meaning every student will embody the 4 L’s:

  • LOVE – Show kindness and care for others.

  • LISTEN – Be open, attentive, and respectful.

  • LEAD – Take initiative and be a positive example.

  • LEARN – Stay focused on academic and personal growth.

Our goal is to significantly improve our Attendance Rate, State Assessment Performance Rate (Math, ELA, and Science), Graduation Rate, and our A-G Rate (College readiness), with the vision of making Chavez-Dominguez Satellite and Marshall-Dominguez Satellite MODEL schools in California! Together, anything is possible.

I look forward to working with you - The Don Journey Begins Today!

Mr. Oliver, Principal of Dominguez High School

====================================================================================================   Hello, my name is Miguel Taylor, and it is my pleasure to serve as the administrator of the Chavez-Dominguez Satellite Campus.

At Chavez - Dominguez Satellite, we take pride in being a warm and welcoming community where teachers, counselors, and staff genuinely care about the well-being and success of every student. Our team goes above and beyond to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We challenge our students not only to graduate from high school, but also to meet A–G requirements and become college and career prepared (CCI). By doing so, we ensure that when they leave us, they possess the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to continue their journey toward lifelong success.

We know that attendance is key to achieving these goals, so we encourage our students to be present, engaged, and committed every day. In return, our dedicated teachers and staff bring the same level of effort and passion to support their growth.

Chavez Dominguez Satellite is the home of high expectations and high-level support—a school community where everyone is valued, supported, and treated like family. I look forward to continuing to serve and support my Don Family.

Mr. Taylor, Assistant Principal of Dominguez and Chavez Dominguez
